The PCI-DIO24 Series of 82C55-based PCI digital boards provide 24 logic-level, bidirectional digital I/O and high current output.

NOTE: The PCI-DIO24 and PCI-DIO24/SIPSCKT devices are ROHS compliant, all other devices in the Series are not.

24-Channel Digital PCI Boards – The PCI-DIO24 Series includes the following products:

  • PCI-DIO24/SIPSCKT
  • PCI-DIO24H
  • PCI-DIO24H/SIPSCKT

Key features of the PCI-DIO24:

  • The PCI-DIO24 provides 24 lines of digital I/O. An on-board, industry standard 82C55 programmable peripheral interface chip provides the 24 digital I/O lines in three eight-bit ports (Port A, Port B, and Port C). Port C can be further divided into two four-bit ports (Port C-HI and Port C-LO).
  • . You can configure each port independently for either input or output. All 24 I/O lines are accessible through the board’s 37-pin connector. The I/O pins of an 82C55 are bi-directional CMOS TTL level.

Key features the PCI-DIO24H:

  • The PCI-DIO24H provides 24-bits of digital I/O in three eight-bit ports (Port A, Port B, and Port C) based on an 82C55 mode 0 emulation. Port C can be further divided into two four-bit ports (Port C-HI and Port C-LO).
  • . You can configure each port independently for either input or output. All digital inputs are LSTTL. The output signals are buffered high output drive TTL. The digital output drivers are 74S244 chips that can sink 64 mA and source 15 mA.
  • The input buffers are 74LS373 chips and have standard high input impedance of the 74LS series devices. All 24 I/O lines are accessible through the board’s 37-pin connector.
